As Chief Operating Officer of Essex Financial Services, Chuck is responsible for leading the firm’s expanding team and driving strategic growth across Essex’s Fitch-rated loan servicing and asset management platforms.

Chuck brings more than 30 years of commercial real estate finance experience to the role. Most recently, he served as Head of Asset Management at NewPoint Real Estate Capital, where he led teams across the GSE and bridge asset management space. Prior to NewPoint, Chuck spent 28 years at BWE and its predecessor companies. During his tenure, he was a driving force behind the firm’s transformation: growing the loan servicing and asset management portfolio to $45 billion.

Earlier in his career, Chuck held credit and asset surveillance roles at Mellon Mortgage, KeyBank, and Capstone Realty Advisors, giving him a well-rounded foundation across the full lifecycle of commercial mortgage finance.

Chuck has been an active contributor to the Mortgage Bankers Association throughout his career. He completed MBA’s Future Leaders Program in 2017, continues to hold seats on a number of CRE committees and earned the Commercial Certified Mortgage Servicer (CCMS) designation in 2023 — a mark of distinction within the commercial and multifamily mortgage servicing industry. He holds dual degrees in Political Science and History from Muskingum University, where he was a student athlete within the school’s football program.

Outside of work, Chuck loves all things music, is an avid concertgoer, enjoys playing his guitars and spending time with his wife, Staci, and their blended family of five adult children.
