Joseph joined Essex in December 2022 as a Portfolio Manager III and was promoted to Senior Portfolio Manager in July 2025 before advancing to Assistant Director in June 2026. During his tenure, he has played a key role in managing complex loan portfolios, delivering thoughtful solutions to clients, and contributing to the firm’s commitment to accuracy, transparency, and service.

Prior to Essex, Joseph served as a Portfolio and Loan Manager at the UCC Cornerstone Fund, where he oversaw a loan portfolio exceeding $100 million and managed a wide range of commercial lending activities, including underwriting, risk analysis, loan structuring, closing oversight, and servicing operations. His work focused on driving portfolio growth, maintaining strong credit performance, and supporting clients through all phases of the lending lifecycle.

Joseph began his career in the financial services industry in 2011 in retail banking, where he advanced from Teller to Financial Service Officer, building a strong foundation in client service, financial operations, and relationship management.

Outside of work, Joseph enjoys spending time with his children, Dean, Felicity, and Vinny. Together, they enjoy visiting local beaches and parks, exploring museums and libraries, and relaxing at home watching movies.
